Other ways to be eligible for Australian Citizenship include, if an Applicant; was born overseas to an Australian Citizen who lost their citizenship, came under the Commonwealth Child Migration Scheme, lost Australian Citizenship and wants to get it back, is a child who is not an Australian Citizen but was adopted by an Australian Citizen who is over 18 years old, is a child who was born overseas but has at least one Australian Citizen parent, or is a Refugee and Humanitarian entrant.

After the Department gets your citizenship application, they will arrange a citizenship appointment for you. At the appointment, you will have your identity checked and you may have to take the Australian Citizenship Test or have a citizenship interview.
